The daycare sponsorship program of the Achtung! Kinderseele Foundation is aimed at public daycare centers nationwide that care for children aged three to six years. Pediatric and adolescent psychiatrists volunteer as sponsors and bring practical knowledge about mental health into the daycare centers. At least twice a year, the sponsors conduct informational evenings or Q&A sessions and support educators and parents with the red sponsor suitcase full of materials. This approach helps to identify and address psychosocial abnormalities at an early stage. As a free offering, the program supports educational professionals in their daily work and raises awareness of preventive measures and initial assistance.
The goal of the grant program is to raise awareness among all those involved in daily daycare life about mental health and to promote a trusting exchange between specialists, educators, and parents. Eligibility requirements include caring for children within the specified age group and an interest in strengthening mental health within the facility. Inquiries can be submitted continuously, allowing for individual support without application deadlines.
