Description
The small funding program "Action Healthy Environment – Our Future in the State of Brandenburg" supports volunteer-driven environmental education, upbringing, and nature conservation projects with one-time grants of up to €3,000 (up to €1,750 for daycare centers). The focus is on extracurricular measures that link topics such as education for sustainable development, climate protection, energy efficiency, and environmental awareness. Organizations based in the State of Brandenburg – including private individuals, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions – can submit a project outline by no later than May 5, 2026. The funding rate in 2025 was around 65% of applications, and decisions will be announced promptly after the deadline. Projects sought are those that strengthen environmental awareness through targeted educational and informational offerings and contribute to the sustainable use of natural resources.
Eligible costs include, among others, material costs for environmental education measures, travel expenses for educational trips, and event costs; personnel costs are possible to a limited extent. A detailed environmental education concept as well as a continuation or long-term utilization concept are prerequisites. Furthermore, cooperation partners must be conclusively documented, and all necessary permits must be submitted. Not eligible for funding are, among others, measures already started or regularly recurring, acquisition of large equipment, sports and play equipment, room rentals, and administrative costs. Selection is based on criteria such as relevance to environmental education and nature conservation, sustainability aspects, and partner involvement. Applications are to be submitted to agrathaer GmbH, Eberswalder Straße 84, 15373 Müncheberg; a timely preliminary registration by email is possible. This program offers committed initiatives and daycare centers an attractive opportunity to sustainably strengthen environmental education in Brandenburg and realize innovative project ideas.
