Description
The City of Graz supports awareness-raising climate protection activities in Styria within the framework of Klimaeuro+ with grants ranging from €100 to €1,500 per measure. Eligible actors are citizens or associations with their main residence or headquarters in Graz, who motivate others to adopt a climate-friendly lifestyle, thereby achieving a multiplier effect. The aim of this funding is to strengthen awareness of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, sustainable construction, climate-friendly mobility, resource conservation, and climate justice. A prerequisite for grant approval is the participation of at least three individuals from different Graz households, a direct connection to the city area, demonstrable public impact, and a clear contribution to climate protection.
Within a maximum project period of twelve months, expenses such as fees for recognized experts (up to €500 per lecture), printing costs for informational materials (max. €100 per event), catering (up to €10 per person), room rental (max. €300), as well as climate-relevant tools for community projects can be submitted. A 100% funding rate according to valid maximum rates enables full coverage of eligible costs. Applications are submitted electronically on an ongoing basis from 01.01.2024 via the official e-government form; a detailed project description and a transparent cost breakdown are required. The professional selection is carried out by a jury consisting of representatives from the Climate Advisory Board, the City Planning Directorate, and the Environmental Office to ensure effective implementation and broad public impact.
