KLIMAfuchs of the S.O.F. – Environmental Foundation

The KLIMAfuchs program of the S.O.F. – Environmental Foundation is aimed at daycare centers and childminders based in Hamburg who wish to expand their educational work to include climate protection and energy efficiency. As an ongoing grant program, the initiative supports the integration of climate-related educational content into everyday daycare activities. It promotes both the development of innovative learning formats to convey topics such as CO₂ reduction and resource conservation, as well as the practical implementation of energy-saving measures on site. Providers receive financial resources to carry out environmental education workshops, procure energy-efficient equipment, or organize project weeks on the topic of sustainability.

With KLIMAfuchs, the S.O.F. – Environmental Foundation aims to strengthen early childhood education as a key to sustainable action and to raise awareness of ecological interrelationships already at kindergarten age. The funding serves the concrete implementation of energy-economic measures and the long-term embedding of climate protection in educational work. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing institutions to flexibly plan and implement their individual climate protection projects. Through continuous support, the program contributes to networking within Hamburg’s educational landscape in the field of environmental education and sets impulses for an intergenerational engagement with the goals of the 2030 Agenda.
