Description

The European Youth Education and Youth Meeting Centre Weimar Foundation offers ongoing nationwide funding opportunities for innovative cooperations in political youth and professional education. By supporting diverse partnerships, this initiative contributes to strengthening democracy education, reducing prejudices, and implementing anti-discrimination work in formats that promote participation and enable intercultural exchange. Educational institutions, public agencies, and non-profit organizations are invited to collaboratively develop practical projects with experienced experts – ranging from workshops to promote democracy to measures for discrimination-critical practices in daycare centers and schools. The primary focus is always on establishing solidarity networks and sustainably securing social cohesion.

Eligible for funding are particularly schools, daycare centers, administrative offices, police authorities, as well as civil society initiatives that actively wish to engage in diversity and tolerance. A prerequisite for funding is an interest in joint project development within the specified thematic field. The Foundation provides advisory support to applicants in concept development and creates space for collegial exchange and networking. There is no formal deadline – inquiries can be submitted at any time. Interested organizations are encouraged to explore the potential of their target groups and advance individual cooperation ideas. In this way, tailored educational formats are created that empower multipliers and contribute to the democratic participation of young people in the long term.
