Cooperation and Project Support ("Play for All Foundation")

The cooperation and project support of the “Stiftung Spiel: Historical Toys – Innovative Play Spaces” promotes initiatives, associations, institutions, companies, as well as private individuals throughout Germany who wish to develop creative concepts related to play. As a sponsorship offering, the program is aimed at cultural and educational actors who want to establish innovative play stations in public spaces, design new toys, or realize interdisciplinary project ideas for cultural mediation. A special focus lies on cooperation: the foundation contributes its professional expertise and accompanies project partners from idea development through to implementation. Applications can be submitted at any time, as there are no fixed deadlines and continuous funding opportunities exist. Selection is based on the quality of the play concept and the willingness to actively collaborate with the foundation.

The funding objective is to enrich play spaces in the urban landscape, develop historical and contemporary play materials, and establish participatory formats that encourage people of all ages – regardless of background or prior experience – to actively engage in shaping. Both conceptual projects and practical-technical implementations that make the diversity of play visible and tangible are supported. A prerequisite for funding is a clear cooperation or project idea in the field of play and toy design as well as openness to professional exchange with the foundation. Through this program, the “Stiftung Spiel für alle” supports a vibrant cultural mediation through playful discovery and creates space for new, communal experiences in public spaces.
