Description
Cost Coverage for Elderly Residential and Nursing Homes in Burgenland represents an indefinite subsidy option that enables nationwide inpatient accommodation, comprehensive care, activating support, and nursing for persons in need of care. The aim of the measure is to secure access to suitable facilities primarily for elderly citizens who can no longer be cared for independently in a home environment due to physical, mental, or psychological limitations. All residual costs are funded – from accommodation expenses to all nursing and care services – amounting to 100% of the costs incurred after deducting personal contributions.
This offer is particularly relevant for individuals receiving care allowance at level 4 or higher whose monthly personal resources – consisting of pension, care allowance, and existing assets – are insufficient to cover the nursing home costs. Personal contribution is defined as 80% of the pension (excluding the 13th and 14th payments) plus the care allowance. A prerequisite for approval is the application for social assistance at the competent district administrative authority in Burgenland. The following documents form the basis for approval: social assistance application, current care allowance notice, pension proof, and proof of assets. Since this funding option is continuously available, eligible institutions and organizations can submit applications at any time to ensure financial relief for persons in need of care.
