Description
In the funding year 2027, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation e.V. will award nationwide work and study scholarships for visual artists, writers, composers, and dance artists. Over a period of twelve months, a monthly grant of €1,500 will be provided to cover living expenses. Work scholarships in the fields of visual arts, literature, and composition can be applied for on an individual initiative basis, whereas the study scholarship for dance is awarded exclusively upon recommendation. The application deadline for the funding year 2027 extends from January 6 to March 20, 2026. Within this timeframe, complete documents, including the official application form, artistic work samples, and a detailed CV, must be submitted.
The selection is based on the criteria of artistic quality, socio-political relevance, and the innovative character of the project. Prerequisites include proof of outstanding artistic achievements as well as residence in Germany. The aim of the funding is to relieve the scholarship holders in their work, provide professional support, and facilitate their access to gallery owners, publishers, and agencies. Through individual mentoring and integration into a close-knit network, the program offers not only financial security but also interdisciplinary workshops and exchange opportunities. Interested artists thus receive optimal conditions to realize their creative projects and contribute impulses to cultural development.
