Description
The initiative “Cultural Projects with Schools” supports participatory cultural projects in cooperation between Viennese schools and external cultural partners. The goal is to provide young people, regardless of their background and financial means, access to artistic offerings and to sustainably strengthen their personal development. Through workshops, events, and new productions, students of all age groups are actively involved to promote key competencies such as creativity, teamwork, and cultural participation. The collaboration between teachers and experts from the fields of culture, education, training & further education, as well as labor & social affairs ensures a creative, interdisciplinary networking within the school environment and paves the way for new learning cultures throughout Vienna.
Since 01.01.2024, non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions can submit funding applications for projects with a duration of up to 12 months. The funding rate is up to 100% of eligible expenses, but no more than €1,700 per project. Eligible costs include personnel expenses, fees for cultural practitioners, third-party services, material costs, as well as travel and accommodation expenses. A successful application requires a well-founded project plan, a detailed cost and financing plan, references from cooperation partners, and proof that the project could not be realized to the required extent without federal funds. An expert jury evaluates submissions based on criteria such as the intensity and creativity of the cooperation, feasibility, participatory involvement of students, networking, sustainability, as well as the quality of didactic and organizational aspects.
