Cultural Funding of the City of Straubing

The cultural funding of the City of Straubing is aimed at culturally engaged associations, federations, and non-profit organizations based in Straubing. Annual grants are awarded for projects, individual events, and extensive club programs to enrich the local cultural life. Funding covers, among other things, personnel expenses, material costs, and event expenses. A prerequisite is a comprehensible presentation of the cultural activity as well as a detailed project description with a preliminary income and expenditure plan. Applications can be submitted informally or using the specific application form and are paid out upon submission of proof of use. Funding is provided exclusively upon application and creates financial scope for innovative programs and creative initiatives in all cultural sectors.

Interested applicants must submit the complete documents – consisting of the project description, preliminary income and expenditure plan, application form or informal application, and later proof of use – by no later than July 31 of each year to the Office for Culture and Education of the City of Straubing. Late applications cannot be considered. The City of Straubing provides further information if needed and makes all necessary forms available. This funding strengthens local cultural initiatives, promotes networking within the art and culture scene, and sets sustainable impulses for community club life.
