Description
The funding program "Charging Infrastructure for Electric Vehicles II" of the state of Schleswig-Holstein supports companies, partnerships, and economically active natural persons in the installation of publicly and non-publicly accessible charging infrastructure. The goal is a demand-oriented, user-friendly network that advances the energy transition in the mobility sector. Both smaller charging points with capacities between 11 kW and 99 kW as well as large-scale projects from 100 kW or projects of special significance for climate protection are funded. With non-repayable grants of up to 50% of eligible expenses – as fixed amounts for small charging points and proportionally for large projects – an attractive financing offer is created. The funding rates range from €1,000 per charging point (11 kW) to €2,000 (22 kW) up to €7,500 (50 kW), as well as €500 for supplementary load management per location. For fast chargers (≥ 100 kW), the grant amounts to a maximum of €30,000 per charging point, always limited to 50% of expenses.
A prerequisite for the subsidy is the location in Schleswig-Holstein, the purchase (no leasing), and installation by a qualified specialist company. Public charging points must be operated for at least three years and be accessible around the clock; electricity supply must be 100% from renewable energy sources. Technical minimum requirements according to the Charging Station Ordinance must be met, and project start as well as purchase may only take place after approval. Funding covers installation including grid connection, assembly, and load management. Leasing, self-construction, prototypes, repair, and replacement procurement are excluded, as are companies in difficulty. Currently, no applications are possible – a renewed deadline announcement will be made via the application portal of the Schleswig-Holstein Business Development and Technology Transfer Corporation.
