Description
The state contributions from the Province of Upper Austria promote the personnel costs of legal entities of public and non-profit institutions that provide individual childcare through approved childminders and childminder fathers as a direct grant. The goal is to ensure high-quality care by employing, professionally supervising, and mediating appropriately trained and personally suitable childminders. Additionally, socially tiered parental contributions should be collected, and the funding guidelines of the Province of Upper Austria must be adhered to. Applications for the following calendar year can be submitted from 01.04.2024 and must be received by the Office of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government, Directorate of Culture and Society – Department of Society, no later than 01.12. of a year.
Eligible for funding are legal entities of approved childminders who ensure organization, coordination, and professional supervision. A prerequisite for funding is the conclusion of a funding agreement with the Province of Upper Austria, proof of relevant training and further education, the conclusion of care agreements, compliance with all reporting obligations, and remuneration in accordance with the Upper Austrian Childminder Regulation 2024. Applicants must provide information on actual care hours, monthly data on cared-for children and childminders, as well as information on personnel costs, municipal contributions, and parental contributions.
