State Contribution to Personnel and Material Expenses of the Carinthian State Museum

The state contribution to personnel and material expenses of the Carinthian State Museum has supported the fulfillment of the legally defined tasks of the State Museum for Carinthia since 2014. As a public law institution in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, the State Museum performs essential museological activities: the collection, preservation, and documentation of exhibits of intellectual, cultural, and natural scientific significance, as well as the execution of scientific research tasks. The ongoing annual grant from the funds of the State of Carinthia ensures that personnel resources and material expenses are fully covered and that the museum can fulfill its educational, research, and mediation mandate in accordance with the Carinthian State Museum Act (K-LMG, LGBl. 72/1998 as amended).

The funding is granted as a direct subsidy and requires the binding compliance with the provisions set forth in the K-LMG as well as the approval of the annual budget by the state government (§ 29 K-LMG). Eligible expenses include all personnel costs as well as expenditures for material expenses. Since this is a permanent, ongoing allocation, there is no separate application deadline. The program is exclusively aimed at the Carinthian State Museum and makes a significant contribution to the sustainable strengthening of the cultural and scientific infrastructure in Carinthia.
