Description

The program “State Contribution to Personnel Expenses for Private Age-Extended Kindergarten Groups” in Burgenland supports legal entities of private age-extended kindergarten groups with a direct subsidy to finance personnel costs. The aim of this indefinite funding, valid since 01.01.2014, is to ensure the employment and salary treatment of care personnel at the level of public institutions as well as the long-term guarantee of high-quality care. Eligible for funding are private individuals, non-profit organizations, and companies that comply with the provisions of the Burgenland Child Education and Care Act 2009 and employ their personnel in accordance with regional legal regulations.

Only personnel expenses are eligible for funding; applications can be submitted semiannually: for the period January–June by March 1 and for July–December by September 1 each year. A prerequisite is proof of the employment and salary treatment of personnel and fulfillment of the statutory organic quota through the “besser essen” certificate. The application documents to be submitted include the completed funding form, the “besser essen” certificate, and a data extract from the kindergarten management program. Processing is carried out on a monthly basis, with no retroactive application possible after the deadline. This subsidy significantly contributes to relieving the providers and ensuring demand-oriented care in Burgenland.
