Description
The state contribution to personnel expenses for private kindergarten groups is a direct subsidy from the state of Burgenland, continuously offered since January 1, 2014, providing educational institutions in Burgenland with a reliable financing perspective. Contracting institutions in the fields of education, children and youth, training & further education, as well as labor & social affairs, can access this funding. Eligible are legal entities of private child education and care institutions whose groups comply with the provisions of the Burgenland Child Education and Care Act 2009 (Bgld. KBBG 2009 as amended) and who guarantee a service and salary-related treatment of personnel according to state legal regulations. Cooperation between several municipalities in inter-municipal models is also taken into account, provided a valid cooperation agreement exists.
The grant exclusively covers personnel costs and offers reliable support to comply with the required staffing ratio. A fully completed funding application is required for the application, supplemented by the certificate “besser essen” and a current data extract from the kindergarten management program. The deadlines for the funding period January to June end on March 1, and for July to December on September 1 of each year. Payments are made in three installments based on monthly statistical data, whereby transparent accounting and documentation via the management program ensure the calculation of the subsidy amounts. In exceptional cases, an extension of the deadline may be granted upon appropriate proof. Institutions that meet all requirements can rely on sustainable personnel funding and thus further improve the quality of care.
