Description

Burgenland supports private daycare groups with a 100% state contribution to cover personnel costs. Funding is provided to legal entities that meet the requirements of the Burgenland Child Education and Care Act 2009 (Bgld. KBBG 2009 as amended) and whose educational staff are employed according to the state legal service and salary regulations. The subsidy applies to full- and part-time qualified, assistant, and support staff and is based on a care ratio of 1:4 in daycare centers. Additionally, a one-time grant can be applied for new hires or increased hours to achieve VIF-compliant opening hours and to ensure the care ratio. The funds are paid out in three installments per calendar year and are available without limitation, provided that the budgetary funds are allocated in the respective state budget.

Requirements include compliance with the provisions of the Bgld. KBBG 2009 as amended, as well as confirmation of the organic quota and the “better eating” certificate. Eligible expenses exclusively cover personnel costs. Documents required for the application are the fully completed funding application, the quality certificate “better eating,” and a data extract from the kindergarten management software. Deadlines are March 1 for the funding period January to June and September 1 for July to December. Intermunicipal institutions must submit a valid cooperation agreement. An extension for submission may be granted in justified individual cases. This continuously running program makes a significant contribution to sustainably securing the quality of early childhood care in private daycare groups in Burgenland and enabling fair working conditions for educational professionals.
