State Program Work – B2/c Vocational Preparation and Training Support – Regional Training Support

The state program Work – B2/c Vocational Preparation and Training Support specifically promotes measures in Schleswig-Holstein that assist young people in the transition from school to professional life. Within the framework of this program, professional counseling and support work is particularly rewarded to prevent training dropouts and to sustainably stabilize trainees whose training relationship is threatened by dropout or has already been terminated. Through innovative counseling methods – including systemic approaches and models such as the Zurich Resource Model – a needs-based deployment of resources is enabled. Additionally, companies are actively involved to fill vacant training positions again and thus secure the long-term success of dual vocational training.

Only grants of up to 90 percent of eligible personnel, material, and overhead costs are funded. A prerequisite for application is that the eligible providers of regional training support outside the state administration have their headquarters or operations in Schleswig-Holstein and possess many years of experience in supporting young people during their initial training. A central aspect is close cooperation with regional partners such as schools, chambers, companies, the Employment Agency, and other specialized services. This bundling of competencies specifically supports accompanying young people and trainees in crisis situations and promotes their independent and well-founded career choice decisions.

The application for the measure must be submitted in full by 28.07.2023 (12:00 noon) – either online via the Schleswig-Holstein service portal or in paper form. The program is aimed at public institutions and seeks to ensure solid self-financing with a contribution of at least 10 percent of the eligible total expenses. The evaluation considers, among other things, the clear project concept, the suitability of the project sponsor, viable project financing, as well as cross-sectoral principles such as equal opportunities and accessibility for people with disabilities. Through this structured and sustainable approach, the attractiveness of dual vocational training is to be increased, training dropouts consistently prevented, and equal access to vocational education ensured.
