Description

The state program "Work for Saarland – ASaar" offers legal entities under public and private law in Saarland attractive grants to complement the funding offerings of the Federal Employment Agency and the Job Centers. Eligible applicants include municipalities, associations, clubs, foundations, and other publicly funded institutions that implement measures for the integration of long-term unemployed individuals. The ASaar program supports social security-obligated employment relationships under SGB II, work opportunities (AGH), combined activation measures under SGB II and SGB III, complementary special federal programs, and systemic counseling for families receiving benefits under SGB II. With a holistic support concept serving as a link between activation, vocational qualification, and social integration services, individual placement barriers are reduced, employability is increased, and social participation is sustainably strengthened.

Labor market and social policy objectives are central: the duration of unemployment is shortened, long-term unemployment is permanently avoided, and securing livelihoods through self-responsibility is supported. A prerequisite for funding is a legally recognized organizational form and timely application submission to the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Women, and Health of Saarland, which must be made no later than one month before the start of the measure. The amount of the grant depends on the type, scope, and target group of the planned measure; ongoing application submissions allow for flexible planning. Application documents such as the form for state funds, the detailed funding framework, and the principles for bonuses and stable employment offers are available for download. Through the precise combination of state funds with federal programs, a broad funding network is created that strengthens equal opportunities and sustainably improves labor market prospects in Saarland.
