Description
The state program "Youth in Work" in Saarland promotes innovative measures for the integration of adolescents and young adults into the training and labor market. It is specifically aimed at organizations and institutions that wish to adapt their offerings to the transition from school to career. With a strong focus on social integration, the program supports initiatives such as the establishment of supraregional and regional youth coordinations as well as outreach social work to address individual needs and multiple burdens. The goal is to create structures that support a seamless transition into the regular labor market while simultaneously strengthening regional skilled labor retention.
The funding is granted in the form of a subsidy and covers up to 90% of eligible expenses, such as personnel costs and material expenses. Eligible to apply are companies as well as public institutions with headquarters or branches in Saarland that have experience in advising and supporting adolescents and young adults. The program supports not only classic vocational training measures but also individually tailored activation and qualification offers. By providing specialized advisory staff, practical instructors, and qualified teachers, comprehensive support is ensured. These measures significantly contribute to targeted assistance for disadvantaged groups and open up long-term prospects in the field of vocational training.
With an annual funding amount of up to 55,000 euros per full-time position, the program offers financial incentives for the implementation of projects in the regional labor market. The application process includes several documents such as a short application, detailed application, project concept, personnel list, and a detailed cost and financing plan. Both the content alignment with the ESF+ funding programs and the formal completeness of the documents are evaluated. This close coordination ensures that the measures to be funded comply with national and European funding principles. Timely submission of applications before the start of the measures enables prompt review and approval of the subsidies, thereby providing sustainable support for the integration and qualification of adolescents and young adults.
