Description
The funding program supports the continuous operation of youth centers and meeting places in Upper Austria and is aimed at non-profit organizations such as associations and parish communities that provide open services for children and adolescents. The goal is to ensure the sustainable preservation of premises and activities of extracurricular youth work, thereby creating a personal space for encounters, education, and experiences. In this context, 20% of the recognized personnel costs are subsidized up to a maximum amount of €6,400 per year, supplemented by a flat rate of €300 for operating costs as well as 20% of event costs (maximum €3,200 annually). The funding period is twelve months, with the impact of the measures emphasized through the promotion of targeted identity development, social skills, and participation of young people.
Applications are submitted annually in the first quarter and must be received by end of February of the current year at the latest via the fully completed online form (Form KGD-Geft-LJR/E-14) including the current extract from the register of associations. A prerequisite for approval is the recognition and compliance with the general funding guidelines of the State of Upper Austria as well as the funding principles of the Youth Department. The funds are granted in the form of a grant and require transparent documentation of use. By combining personnel, operating, and event funding, the program significantly contributes to securing attractive, professional, and needs-based leisure and educational offerings for young people in the region.
