Description

With the funding focus "Living in Old Age," the Friedrich and Louise Homann Foundation supports non-profit organizations and educational institutions in Hamburg in sustainably improving the living conditions of older people. Projects are funded that creatively contribute to health promotion, social participation, and intergenerational dialogue. The focus is on initiatives that actively counteract loneliness and test innovative concepts to make the daily lives of seniors lively and socially connected. Through this funding line, a space for exchange between young and old is created, where new ideas can emerge to strengthen neighborhood engagement and intergenerational cooperation.

The funding is provided as a grant with reimbursement of material and personnel costs and can be granted for a period of up to 36 months. Applications can be submitted at any time; there are no fixed deadlines. A prerequisite for funding is the implementation of the project in Hamburg as well as alignment with the funding focus "Living in Old Age." Interested non-profit associations, initiatives, and educational institutions thus have the opportunity to receive start-up financing, implementation, and follow-up funding and to quickly put their project ideas into practice. This offer is therefore aimed at all those who wish to open up new perspectives for older people and promote sustainable community structures.
