Support for projects that address a social or societally relevant problem and contribute to sustainable development in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) through new ideas and solutions in the form of social innovations, services, products, or business models.

Description
With the Lebensqualität Wien funding, the Vienna Business Agency supports social innovations and new business models to address pressing societal challenges in Vienna. Funding is provided to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as business founders with an establishment in Vienna; in partnership applications, associations, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions can also be involved. The focus is on contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – from health and education to climate protection and social cohesion. The funding covers up to 50% of eligible project costs, up to a maximum of €150,000 per project, with a project duration of up to 24 months. Applications are accepted continuously until 31.12.2026.
Eligible expenses include personnel costs, external consulting and development services, material and supply costs, tangible and intangible investments, and necessary renovation work. Non-eligible are capitalized internal services, ongoing operating costs, taxes, public fees, as well as the purchase of land and buildings. A prerequisite for application is a fully completed online funding application with application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, and the most recent finalized annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement. An independent jury evaluates the level of innovation, contribution to the SDGs, involvement of affected societal groups, and economic effects. This funding instrument invites project sponsors to initiate sustainable societal change in Vienna with unconventional ideas.
