Description
The sailing camp "Leinen Los!" of the BroSis Rebecca Klausmeier Foundation gGmbH invites 24 young people from North Rhine-Westphalia to a unique adventure on a flat-bottomed ship in the IJsselmeer. During the one-month summer program, educational professionals take care of the accompaniment, catering, and supervision of the participants of school age. Swimming ability and the consent of the legal guardians are prerequisites for participation, as is the submission of medical information regarding vaccination status and allergies. The goal is to strengthen self-confidence and team spirit by having the young people set sail together, take on responsibility, and gain intercultural experiences. This supervised experience not only promotes individual personal development but also provides valuable impulses for social skills and practical abilities in experiential education.
Interested educational institutions and non-profit organizations can submit an informal application for participation, including the consent of the legal guardians, in the spring. The BroSis Rebecca Klausmeier Foundation grants participation funding for private individuals who wish to actively support this camp. Specific application deadlines are announced annually on the foundation’s website. Thanks to intensive support and smooth organization, young people have the opportunity to overcome boundaries, forge new friendships, and collect unforgettable impressions on the water. This inclusive program is aimed at all those who are committed to experience-oriented leisure activities and wish to accompany young people on their path to greater self-confidence and teamwork skills.
