Description
The funding initiative of the State of Vorarlberg in the field of competitive sports specifically supports non-profit sports clubs whose teams participate in international, nationwide Austrian, or supraregional championships of the first and second performance levels. Additionally, it provides support for athletes in the individual elite sports squad. Subsidies are granted for travel and accommodation costs as well as structure-related league budgets. Continuous application submission is possible at any time, with the written application to be submitted to the Sports Department before the start of the respective championship. Eligible to apply are clubs affiliated with a recognized Vorarlberg sports federation and competing with their elite or youth teams in regional leagues, Lake Constance leagues, or comparable competitions.
Prerequisites for approval include formal membership in the sports federation, participation in the respective championships, and timely submission of all required documents. Eligible expenses include standardized travel cost contributions per federal state and accommodation allowances, as well as structure-supporting budgets for league operations. Player salaries, performance bonuses, transfer fees, or administrative costs are not funded. The application must include, among other documents, match schedules, budget forms, participant lists, hotel invoices, as well as the current annual financial statement and the minutes of the general assembly. This transparent funding measure aims to sustainably enhance the performance capacity and competitive presence of Vorarlberg teams and to further professionalize elite sports in the region.
