Description
The LernRaumLabor – Giving Ideas Space promotes the development of flexible, future-proof learning environments at the 36 schools and 17 after-school care centers of the Evangelical School Foundation within the EKBO in Berlin and Brandenburg. Sponsors from the private sector, companies, foundations, and non-profit organizations can support the project as a sponsorship initiative and collaborate with teachers, students, as well as educational and architectural experts to realize innovative educational spaces. The approach combines real and digital elements in modular structures characterized by ease of use and robustness. In this way, a learning environment is created in which pedagogy actively shapes spatial design and optimally supports learning processes.
The funding initiative is specifically aimed at all stakeholders of the Evangelical School Foundation within the EKBO who wish to implement creative concepts for school development, infrastructure, and digitalization. With continuously open application deadlines, the program offers the opportunity at any time to submit new project ideas and raise financial resources through fundraising measures. The goal is to establish a lasting cooperation between schools, administration, and funders to jointly design learning settings that prepare students for the demands of the 21st century. The Evangelical School Foundation within the EKBO, as the largest independent educational provider in the region, acts as an initiator and coordinator to anchor sustainable educational innovations.
