Description
The lottery fund support in Brandenburg enables non-profit associations and municipalities to receive continuous assistance for charitable, social, sporting, and public interest projects. Project sponsors in fire and disaster protection as well as in municipal and child/youth crime prevention benefit from a funding rate of 80% to 90%. The prerequisite is that the measure has not yet started at the time of application submission and that three non-binding cost estimates are available for each item. Municipalities contribute a 20% own share, associations at least 10% of their total costs. Furthermore, association applications must include a current extract from the register of associations, the statutes, and a tax exemption certificate from the tax office. Ongoing application submission provides maximum planning security, as funds can be applied for at any time and no fixed deadline restricts submission.
With funds from the lottery concession levy, the Ministry of the Interior and for Municipal Affairs specifically supports measures to recruit members for the fire department, technical relief organization, and other aid organizations, as well as actions to strengthen security partners in urban and rural areas. Projects for the prevention of child and youth crime not only contribute to public safety but also promote social cohesion and the development of young people. Applicant organizations receive a transparent funding structure and can prepare early for the generally applicable ancillary conditions for grants. These framework conditions ensure the economical and purpose-bound use of funds and open up diverse opportunities to implement local engagement with sustainable impact.
