Description

The Aktion Luftsprung Foundation supports families with children suffering from cystic fibrosis throughout Germany through a specialized hardship fund. The goal is to sustainably improve the quality of life of those affected by providing both financial grants and in-kind benefits. Eligible applicants are private individuals whose child has a medically confirmed diagnosis of cystic fibrosis and who wish to alleviate acute hardship situations with the help of psychosocial support services. Expenses for medical aids, psychological counseling, or earmarked in-kind benefits can be claimed. The decision on funding is made by the board or the advisory council, taking into account the urgency of the hardship, the severity of the illness, and the expected improvement of the family environment. Continuous allocation of funds allows for immediate response to emergencies without the need to observe fixed submission deadlines.

For a complete application, the completed PDF emergency aid application must be accompanied by a medical certificate, a data protection consent form, as well as cost estimates or invoices. If other agencies have already been contacted, it is advisable to submit corresponding rejection notices to substantiate the urgency of the request. The application is submitted exclusively digitally via the PDF form and does not require personal contact details in the description text. Families whose monthly income does not allow for the financing of necessary services find immediate financial and material relief through this program. Thus, Aktion Luftsprung makes an important contribution to strengthening the psychosocial environment of chronically severely ill children and their relatives.
