Description

The Girl Empowerment Program of filia.die frauenstiftung supports initiatives, associations, educational institutions, and non-profit enterprises nationwide that initiate projects for girls, young women, and LBTIQ+ individuals. The funding includes start-up, implementation, and follow-up financing in the form of grants for personnel costs and material expenses, as well as non-material support through consultation, networking, and professional exchange. The goal is to enable participation, especially for intersectionally discriminated groups, to strengthen self-efficacy, and to promote taking responsibility. Through the participatory decision-making process of the girls' advisory board, projects are selected that have a sustainable impact and maximize the empowerment potential of the participants.

Eligible for funding are organizations with non-profit status as well as social enterprises and initiatives that implement educational, counseling, or social projects. The evaluation is based on the criteria of empowerment potential, sustainability aspects, and participatory inclusion. Applications can be submitted informally at any time, as the program provides for continuous allocation. The program targets projects that enable girls and young women to defend themselves against assaults, learn new skills, and grow into leadership roles. Special emphasis is placed on measures for democratic participation, education, and equal opportunities. The Girl Empowerment Program thus offers a reliable financial and non-material framework that strengthens young people and promotes social cohesion.
