Magic Music Bus of the Dr. Hildegard Schnetkamp Foundation

The Magic Music Bus of the Dr. Hildegard Schnetkamp Foundation provides young people in the rural Oldenburg region with access to classical concerts on major stages such as the Oldenburg State Theatre, the Bremen Glocke, or the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Participating school classes are conveniently picked up from their place of instruction by a coach and already benefit during the journey from a lively music-educational introduction given by students of the Carl von Ossietzky University. This offer is aimed at public primary and secondary schools that wish to provide their students with direct cultural mediation and inspire enthusiasm for classical music. Ten dates are planned for the 2025/26 school year to specifically reduce barriers such as long travel distances and limited resources.

A funding commitment requires that the project location and area of impact are within the Oldenburg region, as well as the submission of a detailed project description, a cost and financing plan, and a binding funding amount. Applications can be submitted at any time via the completed application form, supplemented by the signed PDF version. Public institutions submit the application digitally with all required documents. This sponsorship focuses on sustainable musical education and supports teachers in easily organizing concert visits. Interested schools may submit their project plans without deadline restrictions and thus inspire the next generation for classical music.
