Description
The three-year supplementary scholarship program of the Klaus Murmann Study Support Foundation offers students from all disciplines who possess both journalistic interest and economic competence practical insights into the media industry. Within the framework of markt. medien. machen, cross-media communication formats are the focus, complemented by an in-depth engagement with the social market economy and social partnership. Participants work alongside their studies in editorial teams, develop contributions for print, online, and social media, and expand their entrepreneurial skills. In cooperation with the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA), the program promotes an entrepreneurial mindset and sharpens awareness of economic contexts in media companies, publishers, or broadcasting organizations.
Interested candidates are those who have already gained editorial experience – for example, in school newspapers, blogs, or local journalistic projects – or who aspire to such activities. A prerequisite for funding is the simultaneous application for a scholarship from the Klaus Murmann Study Support Foundation. Markt. medien. machen targets committed students who see their professional future in the media world and wish to deepen their economic knowledge at the same time. Selection is based on motivation, previous experience in the media sector, and interest in entrepreneurship. The application period for 2025 has already ended; information on future deadlines will be published on the Study Support Foundation’s website.
