Funding objective

The aim of the funding is to support women's associations, counseling centers, and private individuals in Upper Austria who deal with women-specific issues related to the equality of women and men. Projects and measures promoting equal pay, improving access opportunities to the labor market, fostering educational and advancement opportunities, equitable distribution of family caregiving work, breaking traditional gender roles, as well as balanced use of services by women and men, are funded.

Description

The funding measure "Measures in Women's Affairs" directly supports women's associations, counseling centers, and private individuals in Upper Austria in implementing women-specific equality projects. Initiatives promoting equal pay for work of equal value, improving women's labor market and advancement opportunities, fostering educational and career development possibilities, as well as the equitable distribution of family caregiving responsibilities are funded. Furthermore, the program aims to break down traditional gender roles and encourage balanced use of existing services by both women and men. Organizations from the social, counseling, and civic engagement sectors can also apply for grants to sustainably advance gender equality in the federal state through innovative concepts and networking measures.

Eligible applicants must submit a written application using forms E 9 or E 10 prior to the start of the project. Approvals are granted continuously in the order of application receipt and subject to budget availability; there is no legal entitlement to funding. Any other requested funding must be transparently disclosed, and the appropriate use of funds must be demonstrated upon project completion. The amount of the grant is determined based on the internal funding guidelines of the Women's Department of Upper Austria, the financial situation of the applicants, and current priority areas. Through the continuous funding structure, equality projects receive reliable support for effective change.
