Description
The state of Vorarlberg specifically supports actions and campaigns that increase road safety with this grant. Projects in the areas of education, health, vocational training, as well as labor & social affairs are funded. The focus is on measures such as the "Big First Graders Campaign," awareness campaigns on the topic of alcohol at the wheel, provision of reflective materials, and offers for bicycle and pedestrian safety. Club, school, and kindergarten initiatives, as well as private individuals and traffic associations, receive financial assistance to implement independent traffic education projects and promote awareness for mobility and safety in public spaces.
Eligible to apply are interest groups, associations (for example, the Road Safety Board, ÖAMTC), public institutions, educational providers, and private individuals who have proven experience in children's traffic education and can demonstrate concrete measures. Applications have been continuously possible since January 1, 2013, with no deadline restrictions. The legal basis is the General Funding Guideline of the state of Vorarlberg. With a budget of around 0.06 million euros per year, the program offers long-term planning security and contributes to the sustainable strengthening of traffic culture in communities and educational institutions.
