Description

Mathe4Job is a freely accessible online platform by the Stiftung Rechnen that supports adolescents and young adults nationwide in career orientation. The site features over 70 profiles of vocational and master craftsman professions, each accompanied by an individual mathematics test. These exams cover exclusively content typically taught in grades 5 to 10 and focus precisely on the skills required in the respective training or further education. Each test question is provided with an explanation demonstrating why the underlying calculation is relevant in professional situations. Upon completion of a test, a result profile is generated that visualizes strengths and weaknesses and remains accessible for 10 days with a personal TAN. This way, participants receive transparent feedback on which topics should be specifically addressed.

In addition to the test platform, the project portfolio offers an extensive information and support service with Fit4Mathe.online. It includes FAQs, practice materials, and a curated list of recommended math YouTube channels that equally support teachers, tutors, and prospective trainees in mathematical preparation. The initiative aims to identify individual learning gaps early, provide targeted support recommendations, and thereby sustainably facilitate the transition from school to vocational training or master craftsman training. This digital offering promotes self-directed learning and strengthens confidence in one’s own mathematical abilities.
