Description
The Albertinen Foundation in Hamburg supports undocumented individuals without health insurance in accessing urgently needed inpatient treatments. In close cooperation with outpatient aid organizations such as Malteser Medicine for People without Health Insurance, the Medibüro Hamburg, the "Praxis ohne Grenzen," and AnDOCken, the Foundation covers all costs for medical care, therapy, and medication on a case-by-case basis. Thanks to the ongoing funding opportunity, the Albertinen Foundation ensures seamless coverage in emergencies, thereby enabling equal access to healthcare for a particularly vulnerable target group in the Hamburg metropolitan region.
Funding is provided to private applicants residing in Hamburg who do not have health insurance and present a referral from one of the cooperating outpatient organizations. The funding is granted as a 100% reimbursement of the actual treatment costs incurred. The medical treatment documents and proof of referral are submitted informally. Since the Albertinen Foundation grants the funding as a one-time subsidy, there is no maximum duration; the service can be applied for again if further need arises. Interested aid organizations and medical professionals can obtain information about the procedure and submission at any time to facilitate quick and unbureaucratic access to inpatient care for affected individuals.
