The Megafund – The budget for your action idea supports non-profit projects throughout Germany that are committed to strengthening children's rights and social cohesion. This funding program is aimed at young people aged 14 to 27 who want to put their own ideas into action and make a strong statement through public actions, campaigns, or events. Projects that contribute to the promotion of justice, feminist approaches, peace, and climate protection, as well as actively combat violence, discrimination, and racism, are to receive special support. The initiative is carried by non-profit organizations and public institutions, with experienced experts over 27 years of age available for advisory support – however, the decision-making authority remains with the young project initiators.

The funding program places great emphasis on the direct relevance of the applicants to the chosen project topic, so only measures that benefit as many young people as possible are supported. The financing covers both honoraria and material costs, so, for example, printing costs for informational materials, technology for producing digital content, or the rental of spaces for panel discussions can be considered. With a funding amount of up to 1,000 euros per project, the fund provides an ideal framework to turn innovative ideas into reality while simultaneously raising public awareness of violations of children's rights and the necessity of safeguarding these rights.

The continuously open application process enables interested organizations to apply for funding flexibly and promptly. By specifically addressing young people who know firsthand which challenges affect them, the Megafund also opens a platform for political participation and social engagement.
