Multiple Birth Allowance

The multiple birth grant in Tyrol is aimed at private individuals with their main residence in Tyrol who have custody rights for multiple birth children and care for them together in the household. As an income-independent one-time grant, the state funding supports families in which twins or multiples have been born since 01.01.2022. Eligible to apply are those persons who also receive family allowance for the respective children. This measure specifically compensates for the higher financial burden caused by the simultaneous care of several newborns and thus contributes to the long-term strengthening of family structures.

The funding rate is 100%. For twins, a grant of €660.00 is provided, for triplets €990.00, and for each additional multiple child, the amount increases by €330.00. The electronically submitted application must be submitted to the Department of Society and Labor of the Office of the Tyrolean State Government within the first year of the children's lives – the deadline is 31.12.2027. The application must be accompanied by copies of the birth certificates of the multiples as well as a current registration confirmation of the person with custody rights. After a positive funding decision, the payment is made retroactively. This uncomplicated support makes an important contribution to the financial relief of families with multiple births in Tyrol and invites all necessary steps to be taken in a timely manner to claim the funding.
