Master Craftsman Start-up Grant Saxony-Anhalt

The Master Craftsman Start-up Grant in Saxony-Anhalt supports new businesses and takeovers led by master craftsmen in the region through a one-time subsidy. Funding is provided to founders as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who, holding a valid master craftsman certificate in an eligible craft profession, take the step into self-employment or assume an existing business. Applications can be submitted continuously as long as budget funds are available. In addition to presenting the master craftsman certificate and a business registration, a comprehensive business plan or a brief description of the start-up project is required. The submission is complemented by a curriculum vitae and, in the case of a business takeover, the corresponding takeover agreement.

The objective of this measure is the long-term consolidation of craft businesses and the strengthening of the regional economic strength. Particular emphasis is placed on the sustainability and viability of the project, the planned creation of jobs, and the contribution to local value creation. The Master Craftsman Start-up Grant offers master craftsmen the opportunity to make initial investments with financial start-up support and to set the course for successful business development. Through the combination of advisory and financing components, the start-up idea is sustainably promoted in Saxony-Anhalt, thus making a significant contribution to securing traditional craft skills in the region.
