Description
The micro-grant Protest Day May 5th from the Aktion Mensch Foundation supports nationwide protest actions in public spaces that advocate for the equality of people with disabilities. Funding is provided for open offers that focus on discrimination and inclusion aspects and enable inclusive participation. Applicants can be non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public institutions, companies, or private individuals. The emphasis is on actions that raise broad awareness of barriers and missing regulations and promote dialogue among different stakeholders. The funding is provided as a grant without the requirement for own funds and covers up to 100% of eligible costs.
Projects can apply for fees and material costs up to a maximum funding amount of €5,000 and must be implemented between May 2 and May 10, 2026. Total costs must not exceed €15,000, and projects already started before the application are not eligible. Participant feedback is expected as proof of quality. Applications can be submitted via the funding portal from December 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026 – early submission is recommended as funds will be discontinued once the budget is exhausted. Selection is based on the criteria of openness to the public, inclusivity, and a clear reference to discrimination.
