MicroPROJECTS – Foundation at Grunewald

The MikroPROJEKTE of the Stiftung am Grunewald offer a straightforward funding platform in Berlin for small, time-limited initiatives in the fields of social affairs, education, culture, as well as projects for children and youth. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and committed private individuals who wish to realize creative projects with a one-time grant. The flexible submission process without fixed deadlines enables spontaneous actions and short-term funding decisions that quickly address the specific needs of local target groups.

The focus is on projects that create social or cultural added value and contribute to self-help. In particular, initiatives for children and youth, refugees or people with a migration background, as well as voluntarily engaged cultural and social actors, can benefit from this support. Funding is granted based on three central criteria: alignment with the foundation’s purpose, feasibility of the project, and sustainable benefit for the beneficiaries. Through continuous allocation, a wide range of project ideas—from language cafés to artistic workshops to interactive learning formats—are made possible, always with the goal of strengthening participation, self-efficacy, and creative development locally.
