STEM THINK TANK

The MINT TANK program of the Non-Profit Private Foundation Kaiserschild and the Dr. Hans Riegel Foundation is aimed at all alumni of the Dr. Hans Riegel Subject Awards in the STEM disciplines (Mathematics, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, and Technology) in Germany and Austria. As a continuous sponsorship initiative, it supports outstanding talents through a tailored range of events: introductory symposia, subject-specific seminars, interdisciplinary workshops, and the biennial Dr. Hans Riegel Academy. The focus is on professional exchange, mutual networking, and encounters with personalities from science and industry. Participants gain insights into current research fields, establish valuable contacts, and receive new impulses for their academic and professional careers. With locations in both countries, the program enables cross-border dialogue and sustainably strengthens the STEM community.

Eligibility for funding requires only the award of a Dr. Hans Riegel Subject Prize; the invitation to the first event takes place in the year following the award ceremony. Alumni participate, depending on their interests, in national and international formats that provide access to renowned educational and research institutions. The continuous nature of the program guarantees ongoing invitations to follow-up events, thereby forming a network of young scientists and innovators. Through the combination of professional depth and interdisciplinary openness, MINT TANK supports the personal development of the awardees and opens up diverse career perspectives in science, research, and industry.
