Description
Membership fee to the Board of Trustees for Journalist Training is an ongoing funding series provided by the State of Salzburg, aimed at sustainably strengthening the professional education and training of journalists in Austria. As a grant, the membership fee to the Board of Trustees for Journalist Training is paid annually, thereby supporting national programs for the qualification of media professionals. Eligible for funding are non-profit associations, interest groups, as well as other organizations with their seat or primary area of activity in Salzburg. Applications must be submitted in writing and require approval by a responsible member of the state government as well as compliance with the “General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding by the State of Salzburg.”
The subsidy exclusively supports the membership fee and is granted upon submission of the following documents: proof of legal existence (bylaws, statutes), budget and latest financial statement, detailed financing plan including total costs and own contributions, declaration on the disclosure of financial statements and reimbursement in case of misuse, as well as a data protection declaration in accordance with DSG 2000. The payment is made as a one-time amount in the approved sum, linked to the annual disclosure of the financial statement by the recipient. An unlimited application horizon since October 14, 2013, provides planning security. With this funding, the State of Salzburg makes a significant contribution to securing well-founded continuing education opportunities for journalists and thereby strengthening the quality of reporting in the public interest.
