SME Trade Fair Program

The Medium-Sized Business Trade Fair Program of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy provides grants to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Bavaria for participation in international trade fairs, exhibitions, or comparable events. The objective of this measure is to facilitate Bavarian companies' entry into new foreign sales markets. Funding is continuously awarded via the digital portal Reise.Net, allowing applications to be submitted at any time. The amount of the grant depends on public interest, the company's performance capacity, and the expected cost-benefit ratio of the trade fair participation.

Eligible for funding are companies located in Bavaria that, based on market position, turnover, capital resources, and number of employees, belong to the medium-sized sector. A prerequisite for granting the subsidy is inclusion in the official trade fair participation program. Selection is based on transparent evaluation criteria: public interest, performance capacity, and cost-benefit expectation. Interested companies can easily register via Reise.Net to apply for their participation. The program offers manageable effort with maximum impact and enables a professional presence under the “Bavarian Pavilion.” Financial relief provides planning security, while the joint branding “Bavaria” and the quality seal “Made in Germany” enhance visibility in the international environment.
