Mobile Personal Care and Nursing Services - Home Nursing Care

Mobile home nursing care in Vienna enables activating care and support for sick and dependent individuals directly in their home environment. The service follows the principle of activating and reactivating care to preserve existing abilities and sustainably promote independence. In addition to basic care and mobilization, the service includes injections, medication administration, or tube feeding and always encompasses guidance, counseling, and support for relatives. Through the flexible deployment of qualified health and nursing staff or nursing assistants, individualized care concepts are implemented, tailored to personal needs. Applications can be submitted to the Fonds Soziales Wien at any time, with no time limitation as long as the need persists.

Eligible for funding are privately insured persons with primary residence in Vienna who have a verified need for care and support, as well as Austrian citizens or equivalent status. For application, a registration certificate, social insurance number, medical report, and proof of income, care needs, and citizenship are required. Funding covers, among other things, hourly rates of qualified nursing staff, care materials and consumables, as well as mobility and travel expenses of the personnel. When granting funds, Fonds Soziales Wien considers both the individual care situation and the financial circumstances of the applicants. Payments are made straightforwardly via subsidies directly to the institution, enabling clients to quickly receive professional relief and counseling at home.
