Mobile Personal Care and Nursing Services – Senior Shared Housing – Basic Package

The Senior Shared Apartments – Basic Package of the Fonds Soziales Wien is aimed at residents of assisted shared apartments in Vienna and offers needs-based mobile personal care and support services as a subsidy. The focus is on accompaniment in community life: this includes assistance with moving in and out, help with applications or doctor contacts, as well as forwarding care needs and coordinating with mobile services. Regular resident meetings promote integration, initiative, and mutual support. Additionally, the package covers the organization of central shopping and the coordination of maintenance measures. Rent costs are not funded, so that the subsidy is specifically directed towards social contacts and needs-oriented care.

Funding is provided to private individuals with primary residence in Vienna who demonstrate care and support needs according to the Vienna Social Assistance Act and live in a corresponding shared apartment. Continuous application submission is possible; since the start of the application period on 01.10.2019, services have been continuously approved as long as there is a need. For the funding application, the application form, registration certificate, proof of care needs and care allowance, as well as proof of income must be submitted. After positive review, the Fonds Soziales Wien pays the recognized subsidies directly to the facility. Interested parties receive individual advice from the FSW customer service and support in finding a suitable shared apartment.
