Description
The "Fashion Promotion of the Art and Culture Section" offers continuous partial funding for annual programs and individual projects in the field of fashion in Vienna. Eligible applicants include interest groups, associations, comparable legal entities, as well as individuals with Austrian citizenship or permanent residence in Austria. The aim is to strengthen creative initiatives that could not be fully realized without this support. The general application form and the form for scholarships, acquisitions, and studios must be submitted. Applicants must demonstrate at the time of submission whether federal or third-party funds have already been applied for the same project and provide a financial or in-kind contribution within their economic capacity, if reasonable.
The grant is awarded as direct funding and can be applied for continuously, with the deadline for annual programs being October 15. Applications must be submitted in full at least three months before the project start date. Section IV – Art and Culture of the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport assumes overall coordination, reviews funding eligibility according to the Art Promotion Act 1988, and oversees the process including reporting and accounting. The funding initiative aims to sustainably anchor contemporary fashion in society and creates reliable framework conditions for fashion makers, designers, and interdisciplinary projects.
