Museum Collaborations

The museum cooperations of Salzburg are aimed at public institutions and non-profit organizations that wish to implement a special exhibition program or museum special projects. The objective of the funding is to invigorate the regional museum landscape and to attract new, especially young visitors to cultural institutions. Projects supported are those that demonstrate a significant connection to the state of Salzburg through creative mediation approaches and innovative concepts and serve the general interest of the state. Designed as a grant, this support contributes to enabling exhibitions and special events that would be difficult to finance without public funds.

Applicants must submit the application before the start of the project and provide a fully completed application form along with evidence of their economic situation, a comprehensive project description with a timeline, as well as a detailed budget and financing plan. Extracts from the commercial register or association register, confirmations or rejections from other funding bodies, and disclosure of any annual funding must also be included. The application deadline has been ongoing since 15.02.2016 and is valid until further notice. Upon completion of the project, proof of the proper use of funds must be provided. Through strict verification of professional requirements and compliance with the General Funding Guidelines of the state of Salzburg, it is ensured that the grants are used efficiently and the intended impact goals are achieved.
