Description

The Jörg Wolff Foundation continuously supports cultural projects in the field of classical and church music in Baden-Württemberg and West Africa. Non-profit organizations, educational institutions, as well as private individuals can apply at any time for grants for events and initiatives dedicated to the promotion of musical traditions and cultural exchange. The program focus lies on outstanding choral work in Stuttgart, instrumental scholarships for children for basic musical education, as well as the training of organists in West Africa. Through the ongoing awarding of scholarships and the financing of courses and workshops, the foundation contributes to the sustainable development of local music scenes and the networking of musicians across continents.

The aim of the funding is to strengthen cultural institutions and young talents in order to establish vibrant concert forms of classical and church music. Particular emphasis is placed on children and youth, choirs in Stuttgart, as well as music education partnerships with organizations in West Africa. Applications must include a project in the field of classical or church music to be carried out at a location in Stuttgart or planned in cooperation with partner organizations in West Africa. The approved funds support equipment needs, rehearsal work, instructor fees, and travel expenses for exchange programs. Through targeted support, the foundation helps to sustainably anchor musical talent development and intercultural cooperation and to keep the cultural heritage alive.
