Description
The Hans and Eugenia Jütting Foundation annually awards one-time POP Music Scholarships totaling €55,000 for outstanding emerging artists of German and Polish descent in the field of popular music. Funding is provided to soloists in jazz, rock/pop, rap/hip-hop, and singer-songwriter (including folk-rock) with €5,000, as well as band members with €3,000 each (maximum €10,000 per band). The goal is the artistic development and presentation of the awardees through performances at the Rolandfest in Stendal (June 2027) or comparable stages, as well as the inclusion of the award in their artistic biography and on social media channels. Age requirements as of the cut-off date 31.08.2026 are a maximum of 27 years for vocalists, 25 years for band members, and 23 years for instrumental soloists.
The following documents are required for a successful application: a non-copy-protected audio-visual recording (minimum 30 minutes, including 15 minutes of unedited concert footage, recordings from 2024 onwards), the fully completed application form with tracklist (details on composer, title, duration, date, editing notes, and lyrics), a personally signed data protection declaration, and a copy of the identity card. Applications must be received by the foundation by post no later than 31.08.2026; expenses will not be reimbursed, and incomplete documents will not be considered. A professional jury will select recipients based on strict quality criteria; the results will be announced by the end of October 2026. The first scholarship installment will be paid in autumn 2026, the second after the final concert.
