Description

The cooperation program of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Sports Association and the Rhineland-Palatinate Sports Aid Foundation is aimed at outstanding junior athletes with NK1 national squad status in Olympic disciplines. Up to ten talents from Rhineland-Palatinate receive monthly support of €400 over a funding period of up to 24 months. Funding starts retroactively from 01/01/2026 or 01/07/2026, depending on the chosen deadline. Applications can be submitted by 31/01/2026 or 31/07/2026, respectively, as long as funding slots are still available.

Prerequisites for funding include proof of a placement among the top six at Junior World Championships or among the top three at European Championships, as well as individual and team eligibility to compete for a Rhineland-Palatinate club. A training base anchored in the state or affiliation with a (federal) training center in Rhineland-Palatinate is also required, as is written confirmation of all information by the responsible state or national coach. The application includes a letter of motivation, proof of NK1 status and international achievements, the eligibility certificate, and the sponsor’s confirmation. Selection is based on NK1 status, international track record, regional training affiliation, and coach confirmation. Changes to the funding requirements must be reported without delay throughout the entire funding period to ensure continuous support.
