Funding objective

The aim of this program is to support Viennese local supply and commercial enterprises in the development of new products or services, as well as the application of new technologies and processes within their operations. This is intended to strengthen the dynamism and competitiveness of the companies and to preserve and further enhance the diversity of local supply and commerce in Vienna. In the interest of climate protection and thus the long-term safeguarding of business activities, the focus is also on the energy efficiency of the planned measures.

Description

The funding program "Local Supply" of the Vienna Business Agency is aimed at small local supply and commercial enterprises as well as founders with business premises in Vienna. It supports innovative, energy-efficient investments and accompanying services to strengthen the competitiveness and diversity of local retail, crafts, gastronomy, and the book and media trade. The focus is on measures for the development of new products and services as well as the introduction of modern technologies and processes. A special emphasis is placed on climate protection and energy efficiency, so all funded projects make a sustainable contribution to the long-term securing of business activities. The maximum funding amount is 75,000 euros with a funding rate of 50% and a project duration of up to 24 months. Submissions are possible continuously each year between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2026, with project-related deadlines being published.

Eligible costs include, among others, personnel costs, material and supply costs, external services (consulting, training, marketing), technical equipment and machinery, as well as licenses, concessions, and construction measures. Non-eligible are costs of ongoing business operations, capitalized own work, land and building acquisitions, invoices under 200 euros net, as well as taxes and fees. A prerequisite is that the project starts after the application submission and that the company has fewer than 50 employees and a maximum annual turnover of 10 million euros. For submission via the online portal, among other documents, the application confirmation, a de minimis declaration, the latest annual financial statement or income-expenditure statement, and the CV of the project management are required. Evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, climate protection aspects, competitiveness, and societal benefit.
